The Premier League is the most watched league on the planet and home to the greatest players in the world.
Mohamed Salah cemented himself as one of the best wingers of all time last season, picking up the PFA Player of the Year award for a record third time. But who is the best player in the English top flight right now?

41. Diego Gomez

Nordi Mukiele has been sensational for Sunderland, while Rayan Cherki cracks the top 50 for the first time after forcing his way into Man City’s best XI with two sensational assists against Bournemouth.
Elliot Anderson is a contender to shoot up the rankings in the coming months, and Diego Gomez may be the next off the Brighton production line of South American superstars after his brace against Leeds.

31. Marc Guehi
Crystal Palace
Robin Roefs has been one of the signings of the season so far, but it is Danny Welbeck shooting up the middle of the power rankings, continuing his charge for a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad next summer.
Marc Guehi has played a crucial part in Crystal Palace’s hot start, while Micky van de Ven could not back up his recent goalscoring form in a putrid Tottenham performance against Chelsea.

Tottenham
29. Marcos Senesi

28. Yankuba Minteh
Brighton
27. Martin Zubimendi

24. Ryan Gravenberch
Liverpool
23. Daniel Munoz

22. David Raya
Arsenal
21. Bruno Guimaraes
Newcastle
David Raya has barely had to make a save over the last few weeks, but the Spaniard has been flawless for Arsenal when called upon, while Ryan Gravenberch is back on the scoresheet for a struggling Liverpool team after returning from injury.
Daniel Munoz is the standout wing-back in the league this season, helping Crystal Palace to another three points and a clean sheet against Brentford. Bruno Guimaraes has either scored or assisted in his last two top flight outings.
20-11
20. Sandro Tonali
Newcastle
19. Adam Wharton
Crystal Palace
18. Cristian Romero
Tottenham
17. Jarrod Bowen

16. Iliman Ndiaye
Everton
15. Virgil van Dijk
Liverpool
14. Nick Woltemade
Newcastle
13. Jack Grealish
Everton
12. William Saliba
Arsenal
11. Mohamed Salah
Liverpool
Mohamed Salah got himself back on the scoresheet in the defeat at Brentford and then found his 250th Liverpool goal in the win over Villa, cementing his place just outside the top ten.
Nick Woltemade is on the verge of cracking the top ten despite a blank at West Ham, while Cristian Romero’s injury sees him drop a couple of places and William Saliba flies up the rankings since returning from his own spell on the sidelines.
10 Bukayo Saka – Arsenal
Arsenal’s ‘star boy’ had a mixed start to the season hampered by injuries, but has returned to the side and returned to form without skipping a beat, albeit without the end product to match his talent.
9 Dominik Szoboszlai – Liverpool
Perhaps the only Liverpool player who can hold his head high over the last month, the Hungary international was everywhere once again in the win against Aston Villa. There is arguably no more well rounded midfielder in the country right now.
8 Jean-Philippe Mateta – Crystal Palace
Mateta is the hottest striker in the Premier League not named Erling Haaland. The France international (sorry Wilfried Zaha) has six goals in his ten league starts this term, including four in his last three.
7 Jurrien Timber – Arsenal
Is there a better right-back in world football right now than Timber? We don’t think so. The Netherlands international has made Arsenal’s right flank his own and was dominant once again in the win over Burnley.
6 Bruno Fernandes – Man United
Put a little quality around him and suddenly you see the real Bruno. The United skipper has assisted in two of his last three games and is without a doubt the most important player in the Red Devils’ recent unbeaten run.
5 Moises Caicedo – Chelsea
Caicedo is doing everything you could ask of a central midfielder for Chelsea, making over three tackles per game and popping up on the scoresheet regularly. His tenacious pressing and assist for Joao Pedro’s winner at Tottenham summed up the season he is having at Stamford Bridge.
4 Antoine Semenyo – Bournemouth
Semenyo was hot property in the summer but signed a new contract with Bournemouth, and the Cherries will be delighted he did. The 25 year-old has six goals and three assists, and the only people happier than Andoni Iraola will be his Fantasy managers.
3 Declan Rice – Arsenal
A lot of the work Rice does at the Emirates Stadium may go unnoticed, but the England international has been superb once again. Adding end product to his game over the last 12 months, he was on the scoresheet with a stunning header in the win at Burnley.
2 Erling Haaland – Man City
Relegated to second place after his blank in last week’s 1-0 defeat at Villa, Haaland is still absolutely unstoppable on his day and showed it once again with a ruthless brace against Bournemouth.
1 Gabriel Magalhaes – Arsenal
“I think he’s now the real leader in this team,” Liverpool legend Carragher said of Gabriel last weekend. “I think Saliba’s a fantastic player, I always felt Gabriel was maybe the junior partner if you like. I think that’s changed for me now.”
The Brazil international is perhaps the favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year crown, dominating at the back and a constant threat in the opposition penalty area at set pieces, picking up another assist against Burnley.
