Ratcliffe might axe Ten HagPotter is in line to replace him Dutch manager being linked to DortmundWHAT HAPPENED?
The British billionaire is set to take control of football operations at United with a 25% stake worth £1.3bn. According to he is considering Potter as a potential replacement for current manager Erik ten Hag in the Red Devils' dugout. Despite not contemplating Ten Hag's immediate sacking, Ratcliffe will be forced to reassess the situation if United fail to improve their disappointing form which saw them bow out of Europe after finishing at the bottom of their Champions League group.

The pressure on Ten Hag has intensified following United's exit from European competition and the Carabao Cup. However, the Dutch manager could sensationally land up in a Champions League club as German giants Borussia Dortmund have been linked with him by BILD columnist Jan Aage Fjortoft.
However, it must be noted that although the Black and Yellows are struggling in the Bundesliga they finished on top of Group F in the Champions League ahead of a star-studded Paris Saint-Germain which might be enough for Edin Terzic to save his skin for the time being.
WHAT FJORTOFT SAID
Fjortoft wrote on X: “Wild rumour in Germany. ten Hag could be the new coach in Dortmund. Remember… Sammer (adviser Dortmund) has employed ten Hag before (Bayern). Let us see what happens in the new year."

Potter has declined coaching offers since he departed from Chelsea in April. In late November, he was reportedly offered the position of Sweden's national team coach, but he turned it down. Potter previously enjoyed success with Swedish side Ostersunds, leading them to three promotions in five years and securing the Swedish Cup in 2017.
